Mobile IV Therapy FAQs

If you feel nauseous, tired, or have a headache, you might not want to drive to a medical spa or sit in a hospital emergency room to receive IV therapy. Perhaps you drank too much at your friend’s wedding, exercised too much in the hot sun, or feel exhausted from working all day. You may want to consider mobile IV therapy

Mobile IV therapy means you can get the benefits of IV therapy right at home, at work or at a hotel. You don’t have to go out of your house or deal with traffic, and you don’t have to worry about exposure to germs. You might want to schedule a mobile IV therapy appointment to rehydrate your body and have glowing skin for a big event.

If you’re a first-time user of IV therapy, you may have some questions. This post will answer those questions and show you how to schedule your first appointment, so you can start to feel better. If you don’t see an answer to your question, please reach out to us, and we’ll be happy to help.

How Much Time Does IV Drip Treatment Take?

IV fluids can take anywhere from 40 to 60 minutes to complete depending on the type of fluid you receive and your individual needs. On the other hand, NAD+ therapy can take up to four hours. You may want to consider mobile IV therapy if you’re recovering from a major injury, surgery, or any other time you might be dehydrated or not drinking enough water

How long does IV fluid stay in the body?

IV fluids stay in your body until you stop needing them. Once you’re hydrated, your body will flush out the excess fluids as urine. Various factors influence how quickly this process happens. If you’re only mildly dehydrated before receiving IV fluids, you’ll probably eliminate the fluids faster than someone who is moderately dehydrated. Your kidneys also impact how fast your body removes the IV fluids.

We don’t want to give you the impression that we’re suggesting you are only getting water. When you get fluids and other nutrients through an IV, it will go directly into your bloodstream, bypassing the stomach and intestines.

Even if your body has taken everything it needs from IV fluids, you’ll still feel the effects of feeling full and having balanced electrolyte levels. You may feel like you have more energy for days or weeks after you finish an IV treatment.

Where can I have an IV therapy appointment?

IV therapy typically occurs in hospitals, urgent care centers, medical spas, and IV bars. Mobile IV therapy, in contrast, brings the treatment to you, so you can receive IV therapy in the comfort of your home. At iDrip Therapy, we will go to the address you give us, so long as it’s in one of our service areas. We’ll travel to nearly anywhere you feel comfortable or want to benefit from IV therapy, including:

  • Your home
  • A friend’s house
  • Your hotel room
  • Your office
  • A gym
  • A party or wedding
  • An outdoor event
